Policy White Paper
Interweaving Assessment in the Age of AI: Policy Implications for Advancing Innovation that Centers Learner Variability, a white paper developed in partnership by CAST and Menlo Education Research, draws from the three Interweaving Assessment convenings, especially the first convening Interweaving Assessment: AI and Accessibility.
The white paper outlines key research and development priorities identified by convening participants; surfaces cautions, tensions, and unresolved questions pertaining to AI-enabled assessment; and provides a set of enabling conditions and associated policy levers necessary to the advancement of innovation at the intersections among assessment, AI, accessibility, and learner variability.
In addition to the white paper, a summary is also available for download.
