Gabriela S. López is a philanthropic and research-to-practice leader who helps funders move resources to evidence-informed solutions that improve teaching and learning. She advises portfolios integrating assessment and measurement, implementation science, and educator practice—crafting coherent strategies, learning agendas, and multi-year, trust-based grants. Previously Senior Director at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, she oversaw a $200M+ education portfolio and coached teams. Earlier at WestEd, she co-led development of the PITC PARS quality assessment system, managed multi-million-dollar contracts, and built due-diligence and continuous-improvement processes used by state and district partners. A first-generation college graduate and bilingual Spanish speaker, Gabriela mentors emerging leaders and supports RPPs that bring evidence into classrooms and systems. Gabriela also serves on the Interweaving Assessment Steering Committee.
